Fuel quality

Biodiesel benefits
Advantages of biodiesel in comparison to fossil diesel:

  • a higher cetane rating, therefore better combustion

  • is inherently a better lubricant

  • reduced greenhouse gas and particulate emissions

  • is renewable

  • is one of the cheapest fuels to produce

  • can be produced from a diverse range of inputs

  • carbon neutral

  • the production technology is open, easy and freely available

Testing Requirements
In Australia all biodiesel manufactured is required to meet the Australian Standard that is regulated by the The manufactured biodiesel fuel must comply with the regulations and meet the applicable standards.
